Buoys or dolphin, postlight, beacon or lighthouse

was it cheaper to build the structure of beacons, light-

houses in China or to have same imported from Sweden ? could you give me perhaps also an approximate estimate of the saving

in wages, attention etc. of the "AGA" system in comparison with the older systems.

In order to have a basis to work on, what would be

the prices for refilling the following sizes of accumulators viz.-

A. 50 cont. 5000 litres & A. 5 cont. 500 litres of gas, kindly state also the charges for delivery from and to the Bangkok steamer incl. all boat, cooly & other charges. I calculate roughly $10.-

for freight for one cylinder of 5000 litres (at ordinary freight

rates). I regret that I cannot give you at present any figures, what quantities of gas will be required as this depends entirely upon the adoption of the "AGA" system and to what extent, butbit would be perhaps essential to know, what quantity of gas your

manufactory will be able to deliver say every 3 or 6 months.

I understand that the "AGA" Lighting system was also adopted by the Netherlands Government & that already in 1911 2 installations and 1 gas manufactory were erected in Netherlands East India, upon my enquiries at the Consulate in Batavia I was informed that no "AGA" lights are used in the Archipelago, could you perhaps

enlighten me on this subject.

The catalogues you kindly send me has arrived for

which I am much obliged.

I would ask you to kindly to excuse the trouble I

am giving you and thanking you for your kind assistance

I have, etc.,

(SD.)

A. Mohr

Consul-General.
